This event is being held in partnership with Missouri State Parks. The Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center is at the center of a longstanding cooperative undertaking from the City of Kansas City and Missouri State Parks to commemorate and interpret the African-American diaspora particularly in the State of Missouri, the City of Kansas City, MO, and its surrounding areas through fostering educational and cultural programs regarding the past, present and contemporary contributions of African Americans who served to shape the city and state’s history and culture.
We thank Missouri State Parks for their partnership in this event. We would also like to acknowledge support of our major annual business sponsors: STRATA, Heritage Consulting, and Marvin, who help sustain our work as a historic preservation nonprofit organization.
