Walking Tour: Country Club Plaza

Established in 1922 by J. C. Nichols and designed architecturally after Seville, Spain, it was the first shopping center in the world designed to accommodate shoppers arriving by automobile. The “Plaza” comprises high-end retail establishments, restaurants, and entertainment venues, as well as offices amidst many original 1920’s buildings. The Country Club Plaza is named in the Project for Public Spaces’ list of 60 of the World’s Great Places.
Meet at 10:00am at the J.C. Nichols Fountain in Mill Creek Park (47th Street between J.C. Nichols Pkwy & Main St.)
