HKC members are invited to a special insiders tour the Belmont Hotel at 911 Linwood Boulevard. Though vacant for a number of years, this property has some amazing architectural features. Over the years it has been occupied as a hotel, retirement home, and administrative office. Learn about the storied history of the neighborhood and Linwood Boulevard–the oldest and longest east–to–west boulevard in the parks and boulevards system. Linwood Boulevard historically attracted social and civic institutions and was known as the “Boulevard of Churches.”

This tour is open to members only and tickets are $15 each. You can join online on our membership page. If you are unsure about the status of your membership, please send us an email at hkcf@historickansascity.org. Jane Flynn Society and Heritage Partners attend for free!

Tour convenes at the front entrance of the hotel at 911 Linwood. There is no elevator access so be prepared to climb stairs!
