Join Historic Kansas City and the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial for a celebration of the history, impact and ongoing preservation efforts of one of the city’s greatest sources of pride: the parks and boulevards system. The event features a cash bar reception followed by a presentation and panel discussion in J.C. Nichols Auditorium with Dona Boley, co-author of the book Kansas City’s Parks and Boulevards, and Susan Richards Johnson, a preservation architect involved in numerous monument restorations, including the recent three-year restoration of the Liberty Memorial.

5pm: Meeting of HKC Members

5:30pm: Cash Bar Reception

6:30pm: Presentation and Panel Discussion

Free, but please RSVP by May 15th at: https://theworldwar.org/visit/upcoming-events
