Invite You to Participate In Our 3rd District In-District and City Council At-Large Candidate Forum. This candidates’ forum is being held so that you can have a “face to face” with those who wish to represent the 3rd District at City Hall.

All participating candidates will respond to the following: The 3rd district has a vast cultural history and the neighborhood has represented Kansas City on a global scale in many ways. Today, it offers great potential for the expansion of heritage tourism and the preservation of historically significant structures is an important element in visually representing this cultural history. Your decisions as elected officials will shape our public and private futures. What are your priorities with respect to issues involving the preservation, revitalization, environment, transportation, housing, and economic growth of the 3rd District, and what actions will you take in these areas that will enhance the quality of life for the people, businesses, and City as a whole?

Moderator: Daniel Edwards, President and CEO of 2ormore.org.”2orMore creates opportunities for young adults to reach their full potential and then eliminate social issues.” Daniel is also working on the restoration of the castle/workhouse at 18th and Vine.

This forum is supported by the Mutual Musicians Foundation and the Historic Kansas City Foundation. Please RSVP to:  Wendell Phillips Neighborhood Association-Downtown East: wendellpna@gmail.com John P. James/President
